Fortunate We Are In Network Marketing

Do we know how fortunate we are in network marketing

I was with some friends at the weekend who had visited Peru with me last year. If you haven’t done so, add it to your bucket list. It’s a quite extraordinary place.

We were discussing various parts of our experience, and we discussed the small hut I had spent some time in on Lake Titicaca – it was approximately 10foot x 10foot.

Two adults lived there with their young baby. The interesting thing was, in the brief time I got to speak to them via a translator, I learned that they get up early every morning, they moan about absolutely nothing, and they don’t seem to stop smiling. Reading between the lines, they are lucky to make more in a week than what most network marketers would make by getting one new customer in their spare time.

I asked them a few others questions – and it turns out they have no TV. No internet. No mobile phones. They have never been on a plane. Never eaten in a posh restaurant. Never been to a pop concert. Never been to the theatre. Never even played Candy Crush!

They will probably never see much beyond their village – but, they never stopped smiling whilst I spoke to them. They expected nothing and to my surprise, they would not accept any money from me – I was simply asked to buy one of their handmade items – only if I liked anything, as they would rather earn money than accept handouts. I did buy something from them for a friend’s baby, which cost less than £1.20 and probably took them a good couple of hours to make.

Inspiring. I wonder what, with their attitudes, they’d do with an opportunity like we have…
